I mean u got more of a chance of getting ullmark from boston for marner. If ur trading JT ur surly giving things up due to his contract. Hes not an elite FWD anymore and unless ur eating cap u sure as hell wouldnt get a 2nd lind RD and good middle 6 FWD for him.

His value has never been worse, he cant get it done in the playoffs and he continuously caused goalies against during the playoffs. hes also never actually hit 100 points in a season and hes never been the lead player on his line ever and no team will give up elite packages for a player like that. esp the rangers giving up there heart of the team and captain AND a first. lets also not forget that the only alternative for the Leafs is to hold on to marner and probably lose him for nothing in the offseason so not really sure how ur gonna get much more then a middle 6 a early pick and maybe a decent prospect
