mika is significantly more fraudulent

Panarin had the same production as Barkov, one less assist than Tkachuk. The Rangers scored 23 goals, Florida scored 23 goals. Other than the first game blowout by the Panthers, every game was decided by one goal. Rangers won 2/3 of the games that went to OT. Shesterskin let up 14 goals on 200 shots while Bobrovsky let up 12 on 151. I would say the Rangers had the better goalie since the difference in goals allowed really comes down to the game 1 loss. The big difference is that Florida dominated the play throughout the series. I'm sure he could have helped, but I don't think Brady Tkachuk would have prevented that. Rangers need someone who would be better defensively than Barkov or produce a lot of offense despite Barkov's efforts to shut him down or someone on their Dcore being just as effective.

If anyone in the Rangers' top 6 is fraudulent, the biggest fraud would be Kreider. Florida was just the better team overall.

Panarin/Mika are WAY more fraudulent than Kreider.


Frauds= Panarin Zibanejad Trouba

I'm not saying Kreider is a fraud, but he did have the worst series from the three forwards which is why Tkachuk's chirp got to him. What even makes Zibanejad a fraud? Not sure what you're expecting from an 8M forward. It's obvious that Panarin is the superstar making the big bucks, and hasn't been able to put the Rangers over the top. Trouba isn't the top 2 D man he used to be and is just collecting paychecks to pay his fines.

The Rangers might just need to get Shesterkin signed (and their RFAs somehow) and then wait out Panarin and Trouba's contracts. They should probably fire Drury after this year if they can't get it done so that a new GM could have some time to lay out a new plan.

Agreed on Drury. Next his year is probably his last chance.

If Shesterskin wasn't up for an extension, I would think it would be best for them to can him now. Maybe they could do it later in the off-season if he can't get the extension done and bring in Ken Holland on a 2-year deal since they are likely not getting a quality GM unless a team approves of them poaching their AGM that late.

goodrow is a cap dump and a 2nd would need to be added. he does nothing as a player for SJ
