This is way better than Kakko + Othmann + Lindgren + Etc that we don’t care about
I think you are underestimating the value of Lafreniere. Lafreniere is a 22-year PWF, former 1st OV pick, that looks like he's back on track in terms of development, you won't get him
and a young RHD for Tkachuk. Would have to be a less sought piece than Schneider in addition to Lafreniere. Rangers would need to make room for Tkachuk, so they probably can't re-sign Lindgren so maybe he's included. They'll have to find a new home for Goodrow too probably. That
There are other pieces that NYR can offer other than Lafreniere and Schneider. I think a trade offer would be centered around Perrault. Lindgren as the roster player that is coming in wouldn't be a bad idea choice even though he needs a contract and is arb eligible. OTT needs a RHD but other than rentals, fringe NHLers, and tweeners they rarely get traded. If OTT ends up moving one of Chabot or Chychrun, it would make a whole lot of sense to replace them with a defensively responsible guy like Lindgren even if they don't have the RHD to pair him with. He's only 27, so If they end up drafting one with the 7OV and don't miss then he should still have some hockey left in him when that player is playing in his first season. Taking a flyer on Kakko as the young former 1st rounder wouldn't be a bad thing either. I think a reasonable offer would be:
Perrault + Kakko + Lindgren + 2025 1st/2nd
Realistically, I don't think the Rangers would have the best or preferred offer or that they would really even be able to seriously entertain acquiring him due to their cap situation.

He’s arguably more valuable than Tkachuk based on his playoff stats alone
And he’s not a rental to the right team
Guentzel was traded as a rental. CAR has the opportunity to re-sign him but that doesn't change the fact that he was traded as a rental as he was available to any team and there wasn't even an understanding that he would sign an extension with his new team.
