Ottawa won’t trade Pinto. Chychrun for Ullmark is fine by me though, even if we add a bit to it. I feel like Ottawa would be on his no trade though so probably doesn’t matter anyway

If Ottawa doesn’t want retention on Forsberg, they can try to trade him elsewhere or we start talking about the appropriate value for the 1.6M in excessive salary. My guess is I’d ask for a young, cheap defender.

Then it will be up to Ottawa to convince Ullmark, which seems like a bit of a long shot.

I believe Boston wants to upgrade C, RW, and LD. How they distribute the money is going to drive what caliber of player, but I think there will only be one premium salary given.

Do people understand how a modified no trade clause work? Ullmark has to give Boston 15 teams he wouldn't accept a trade to. Boston can then trade him without his consent to any of the other 17 teams. If we believe Ullmark doesn't want to go to the west, that would be 14 teams from St. Louis westward, leaving one other team on his list, could be Ottawa, Columbus, who knows.
