No. Replace Robertson with something a whole lot more useful than Robertson and they might think about it. Chicago would decline too they need Jones a lot more than they need a soft overpaid perimeter player.

18th overall and a young player that scored at a 20 goal pace this year is an absolute haul for a goalie that put up save percentages of .892 and .905 over the past two seasons. This deal is probably more than Calgary will actually get for Markstrom. I think the biggest sticking point is Chicago retaining salary on Jones — it’s a lot of dead cap for a very long time.

I like this deal on value, maybe change the 1st round pick to a 2nd both ways. However, it's unrealistic. Marner isn't going to Chicago, Chicago will not retain 50% on Jones.

Markstrom is not worth a 1st round pick + a good prospect. Tbh I think he's closer to Robertson + a 2nd round pick. He's old. Robertson is a good prospect.
