I feel like the situation will just be the exact same for Tomasino as it was for Kaliyev, just too many players above them in the top 9 to get any legitimate shot. LA will be looking to add a LD and a goalie this summer, that's where their assets should be focused

If we had no options and had to do a 1 for 1 (two similar players looking for better ice-time usage, opportunities, change of scenery etc), I wouldn't mind this.

My preference to package him with picks or other prospects for a trade for a position of need. Experienced middle 6 winger, LD for 2nd or 3rd pairing, or a capable 1A goalie.

If they can’t afford to re-sign someone like Arvi, Tomasino could slot nicely.

Definitely not for Spence. Too valuable to the Kings to be trading for what is looking like a 3rd line winger. Turcotte maybe, but he plays in a more valuable position. Also has issues staying healthy (not exactly his fault he's been headshot twice in the AHL, but it is a concern).

If Kaliyev can't break through in LA, and Tomasino can't break through in Nashville, why would they be able to break through when traded for each other?

Tomasino hasn't broken through because he has been in Burnette's doghouse. Burnette and Trotz said he has the skill, just lacking maturity, and that is why he is in the AHL right now.

If LA wants the skill, Tomasino has it, it's more about the change of scenery because if Tomasino can't get out of the doghouse after being spoiled by Hynes, then it might be better for NSH to move on from him. It sucks for NSH, but it might be best for both player and team.

100% agree on Turcotte, but I'd rather move Tomasino as part of a deal for a bigger piece (e.g. Necas). With Parssinen waiting in the wings and still having Sissons it feels like the bottom 6 centers are set, especially while NSH still has Glass. Not really sure where NSH puts Turcotte if we were to get him.
