A massive overpay by Utah. They keep their young assets, and just spend 11m on UFA. Why would Marner waive to poor team in his contract year?

Kings already have their RD sorted with Doughty Spence and Clarke, but I'm sure there are plenty of teams that would take Liljegren for just a 2nd.

Any particular reason why the Leafs want to get rid of a young RD putting up decent numbers? For a team so front loaded on contracts, I would've thought you needed the cheaper, young players helping out. I don't think Tanev can stay healthy enough to be worth 4.5M.

I love the Marner trade for the Leafs but that's an overpay by a lot.

Niemela is 22 he’s gonna get a chance sooner then later. I figured he could a have a shot at 6D spot. Sure if you wanna get nit picky drop a forward/Murray and sign another D.

Why would anyone trade for a 90-100 point player? It’s almost impossible to sign a player of Marners caliber in FA. (Ik Geuntz might be a FA)
