With MN looking to open cap, and Rossi's time looking limited due to him not meeting Guerin's size target. Utah looks like a good new home now that his old coach is in charge and has the hots for him. For Minnesota to part ways with a 2C that was a Rookie of the Year nominee and solid producer they will need a good package. Utah however being in the middle of a rebuild targeted around this and next season won't be looking to give up big picks now. So by getting the 2026 1st round and Guenther Minnesota would consider if it means openning up some additional cap with Utah taking on Johansson's contract from MN with a 4th rounder as payment offset.

I wouldn't trade Guenther alone or the 1st rounder for Rossi and the package. This is a horrible trade for Utah.

Utah probably doesn't do Guenther for Rossi straight up. Why would they pay a 1st for a 4th and a declining vet?
