But should they? I’d rather have 8.5M of cap space than Dubois

No, this would be a massive overpay for the Bruins. LA will have to pay to get rid of PLD not the other way around, might even take the 24 1st for Sweeny to consider.

They aren’t trading him so there’s that

Highly doubt you even watch the Kings. You have no clue what linemates he was playing with. Played with a 3rd/4th line player and a rookie. He played well with arvidsson and fiala.

Ok. West coaster. Watch the Kings a lot. If they wanted a third line center, they should have paid less for one. Is it really that controversial to say they’d rather have the cap space than him based on his play?

Almost every other Kings fan acknowledges it. You seem to be in denial

Lol ok east coaster

EaSt CoAsT BeAsT CoAsT. Blah blah blah

Vilardi and the 2nd are the only thing of value that went back. I’m not worried at all. I’ll take a 25yo center who is very capable of scoring on average 60pts.

That’s why people like this poster always trade for him and slide him right into the 1/2 C spot. Every one slots him there cause they know he has value.

Your in denial bud.

Also he’s not necessarily a 3rd liner but it sure is nice to have that center depth that most teams don’t have. He scored 40pts. Ok. I’ll put money on him scoring close to 60 next season. Prove people like you wrong.

Originally from the east coast, but live on the west coast. Watch the Kings after the Bruins. The Bruins are my first allegiance, but I always hope the Kings do well.

I hope you are right, but I find your take on his play to be woefully optimistic

Villardi was impressive this year and you also gave up an 8.5M contract. I thought Iafallo was solid for the Kings, but he wasn’t worth his salary.

Vilardi is the piece I was a little upset about. Never thought he’d be on a different team so early. Love the way his game play is.

Yes this year he was better than Dubois but he also can’t stay healthy. I don’t teally trust his back problems.

Generally teams don’t put 8.5M players on the third line. If you are acquiring him, it is with the intention to try to rehabilitate his value.

I understand this. Danault is suppose to be 3rd line.
I’ve been watching hockey for 27 years and im not even 40 lol. I understand how teams build their teams.

I’m still ok with PLD for now at least. I’m not going to put the blame on solely him for the Kings losing which a lot of people including Kings fans have done and it’s obnoxious.

Most people hate the guy because fans have labeled him a cancer in the room. He hasn’t been with the Kings and he wasn’t with WPG. CLB…yeah he was young and very immature. He had no say in where he was going to be traded. He had slight an advantage this year due to is UFA status next summer. He told WPG he wasn’t interested in signing so Chevy found a couple suites and the Kings had the “best offer”

It’s easy to blame one player rather than the structure of the team. He was t the Kings only problem, but I do think they wanted him to drive his line more and his play in the playoffs was brutal.

Like it or not, he had a reputation as a clubhouse complainer in Winnipeg and flat out dogging it on shifts is something he is always going to live with. Winnipeg also improved their record by 15 points with that being the primary move they made pre deadline.

Unlike other Boston fans, I can see a path where Sweeney acquires PLD if Ullmark is incented to go to LA. My guess is it only happens if he knows he is out of the Lindholm UFA picture and even then, it’s an uphill battle. Physical time in the air from Stockholm isn’t as different as you’d think for flights and LA has a lot of direct flights. Its probably more the time zone difference.

I’ve been watching hockey longer than you’ve been alive. That said, incremental returns on knowledge after about 10 years are nominal. smile

I don’t care if you’re an old man. Yeah there’s plenty of old people like you.

27 years of watching hockey and I’m under 40. Oh btw I’m also a female.

I started watching hockey at 7 years old. Iv been to Long Beach ice dog games.

Dad grew up in Minnesota playing hockey. So it’s in my blood. His favorite players were Bobby Orr and JP Parise
