I agree they're probably not looking for futures.

I also think that's too much for Necas.

I'm not sure if Canes fans would think that's enough. A late first and a second along with Glass who to be honest doesn't really move the needle all that much.

If I was the Canes I'd be asking for a Kemell or Molendyk as well to push that deal through. However I think the Canes are probably looking for a player that has established themselves already at the NHL level but isn't at the level of a Necas just yet.

Necas will get a return in value to similar to Fiala.

So, Mikael Granlund for Necas?

Fiala was coming off a better season than Necas has ever had, when LA traded for him - not a down year, and whining about his role. Let someone else overpay for him.

I actually wouldn’t mind Granlund as the canes 2C if there’s retained salary, not for Necas though
