Canes laugh. Vancouver wants KK, they're not getting a 1st with him. Comical

Canes pass on the Necas deal too. Necas >>> Hronek, why is Trikizov in this deal?

Hoglander alone is worth a late 1st at least. Carolina is dumping KK for free in this deal. The Canucks easily decline

No to moving Hoglander and taking on KK’s anchor contract

No to signing Zaitsev

Podkolzin shouldn’t be playing in the top 6

Tanev easily gets more money. Probably 5M

KK isn't a dump, that's the problem. There's a reason the Canucks want him, and the Canes want to keep him. Stop

A defensive bottom 6C who just had his defensive numbers drop this season and had an awful playoff run making 4.8M for the next 6 years is a cap dump

He's not an awful playmaker bud he was literally 3rd on the Canes in xGF this season, and he's wanted by Carolina, he's wanted by Vancouver. A player that is wanted on his current contract is, by definition, not a cap dump. Stop it.

A RHD that is an RFA is worth more then a RFA winger, 11 days out of 10

I never said he was an awful playmaker. I said he had an awful playoff run, which is true. When I told you this the other day you tried using his regular season numbers to say he was good in the playoffs when in reality he was Carolina's worst player in the playoffs

He was played out of position in the postseason? Stop it, you clearly don't watch enough of KK to have an opinion here

Zaitsev can be any shot blocker that takes that salary
You need to be better judge of talent - Re Podz
Hoglander will be used as trade bait
Tanev can play elsewhere then

LOLOLOLOL, okay, so Friedman knows less about how the Canes operate than you do? Sorry, didn't realize you were in the Canes front office. Stop it now

He had just as many minutes centering Teravainen and Necas as he did on the wing with Kuznetsov and Noesen. And that still doesn’t change the fact that among Carolina players in the playoffs he ranked

I’d go for Hakanpaa as a 3rd pair RHD. Adds some size and physicality that we likely lose with Zadorov

I like Podz but he doesn’t have the scoring touch to play in the top 6. He’s better suited for a bottom 6 role

Moving Hoglander makes no sense. He was top 10 in the league in 5v5 goals and only makes 1.1M. You aren’t gonna find better scoring depth for that cheap

Like i said need to re-evaluate the way you look at talent and how it develops.

Hakanpaa is way tooo slow

Hoglander is 3rd wheel to a pair, Canucks only have 1 top 6 pair

It makes way more sense to keep Hoglander and have him in the top 6 then play Podz on the 3rd/4th line. Again I really like Podz but he hasn’t shown enough to be given a top 6 role yet

While playing out of position... it's like saying Garland would have an awful playoffs if played at C because he isn't a center. It's 95% of the reason bud

Take the KK trade in a heartbeat, pass on the Necas for Hronek trade.

My understanding from 32 thoughts is that Canucks would be interested in KK if there was a buyout, not for a trade.

Hronek for Necas might be good value in a vacuum, but I think it is bad value for the Canes. If the Canes trade Necas, his salary cap needs to go to replacing him (like a Guentzel), not more defense. They are most likely losing Teräväinen, Noesen, Necas, and Guentzel. A much bigger hole to fill than 3/4D IMO.
