Give it up, bud. CBJ don’t want Marner and he likely doesn’t want them. Stop forcing it.

the Blue Jackets sucked bad last year and if they add a player like Marner that can help Johnny Hockey get them into a wild card spot or at least fighting for a wild card then they do this trade as they need more high end scoring and Marner is a top 10 defensive winger in the league

CBJ would be unwise to accept. Jenner alone is worth a good haul, Provorov can get at least something at the deadline, if not before. And Boqvist even has a little value.

Marner has a ton of value but would be a rental for CBJ. Reaves contract isn’t worth taking on for what he is at this stage (even at that price). Jaärnkrok is alright but I would take Jenner over him all day.

Simply put, Toronto can probably get more somewhere else if Marner actually wants to go there and CBJ can get more value trading the pieces individually.

You mention what Marner allegedly would add. You don’t mention what is lost in getting him, namely Boone Jenner and a ton of cap space. Hard pass.

Also can’t help but wonder why you keep trying to dump this “high-scoring top-10 defensive forward” on CBJ every day if he’s so valuable. Don’t your teams want him or do you just have a grudge against the Jackets?

How is CBJ paying for Marner though? Everything in this trade combined from both teams isnt worth Marner alone. So wheres the rest?
