We can't pay Stammer 8M$ when theres much bigger holes on the team. Ullmark also isn't worth that much.

Stamkos most likely resigns in Tampa, but if he doesn’t, why not Ottawa? New ownership, lots of talent. Plus it gets him back to his home province and we know the maple laughs can’t sign him.

What roster holes remain from this lineup. I think Tanev shores up the D, Ullmark should be a #1, and I love this top 9 assuming Norris stays healthy.

Why would he? Ottawa is nowhere near cup competitors no reason for him to waste his later years on a team that more or less a bubble team.

That deal is what everyone is expecting Tanev to get. Why not sign with the Sens? He’d get to play with Chabot on the top pairing, and the franchise is turning a huge corner with this roster (I argue they leapfrog the Leafs next year with this lineup).

Because Ullmark doesn't want to play in Canada, And especially not wasting his time on a bubble team in Ottawa.

And Stamkos still wants another cup, And sorry that's not happening in Ottawa.

Was there reports on Ullmark not wanting to play in Canada? I read that 14 of his 16 no trade teams were Western conference. His list goes down to 15 next season.

We can agree to disagree about Ottawa’s potential (with the above roster) to be a serious contender starting next year, and certainly within the next 2 years.

You can't put JBD + Kleven on a line, you need a vet for Kleven. Our 4th line looks bad too.

It’s the entire Pacific division, not the entire Western Conference on his list. The consensus is all the Pacific, rest of Canada, Zona, Colorado, Colombus, random 16th nobody agrees on.

If Ottawa was not on his list he would already be there. Last offseason. When Boston was desperate for cap space, Ottawa was desperate for a goalie, wanted him, made an offer. Did not happen. Take 3 guesses why.

I'd imagine Chychrun + the 1st is enough to land Ullmark, and I agree he'd want to come here.

I can't see Stamkos coming to OTT although that'd be friggin wicked if he did, but I just don't think OTT has the budget for him.

Well these didn’t age well…. and the return to Boston was indeed BOS 1st rounder, and goalie and a player, but somehow it ended up being Korpisalo and Kastelic. LET’S GOOOOO!!!
