Bruins dont need a goalie if they trade Ullmark they already have Bussi who need to be waived if he s not in the nhl next year and they will not waive him or carry 3 goalies just to not lose him...they can trade him but i think they like him a lot and will keep him

Not a bad trade proposal there, Chychrun's value is low at least compared to what it was in Arizona.

Comes down to whether or not Ullmark will go to Ottawa.

I was trying to figure the max amount for the final forward. It likely costs us 275k in cap space, but the alternative is probably signing a Chris Driedger type for $1.1M

Could see this type of scenario happening, except Ullmark really seems to value his NTC and will use it as much as he can, and OTT is likely on it

If youre trading Ullmark for Chychrun, it feels like there has to be an extension involved, acquiring Chych would only free up 400k and only have him for one year. Optimal asset managment with trading Ullmark would be to:
1. Free up cap space
2. Acquire valuable assets that have little to no effect on the cap (draft picks/prospects)
3. Acquire a top 6F (preferably C)
4. Improve on LHD

In that order^

That defense would make a lot of fans happy, pretty strong all around

It would be nice to have a defenseman who can actually shoot the puck
