I just dont think he is getting more than this and I see him getting moved. Its been rumoured for a while and now seems like the time it happens. I know Jets fans will be upset with the return but I think this is what he gets

If that is all that is out there for Ehlers, then he'll be in Winnipeg this year and likely extend. It's pointless to move him for such a poor return when they don't have to.

Pulock has a NTC, I do not think he will waive it, buddy

Do research before you comment, buddy. Pulock hasn't ever been in a trade rumor, there is zero reason to believe a player with a full NTC would be traded by Lamoriello, or the Islanders. Lamoriello has never in his career moved a player with a full NTC while he was trying to win a cup (outside of Boychuk who retired for medicle purposes), buddy

Pulock also just joined a golf club with 500k initiation, bought a 4+ million dollar house and did renovations and has never once stated anything but positives about the Islanders

Trust me, id be interested in the swap. But a player isn't available just because they're from a city

I’d rather have 17oa + Iorio from the caps for Ehlers. I’d suggest teams would need to beat that offer to be successful in getting him.

Part of me wondered if that’s why the ilses moved back and picked up the addition second rounder.

Anyhow, a late 1st plus will be available at the trade deadline so to make the move now it would need to be more, like a mid 1st ++. This offer is sort of that but the players aren’t in positions of need.

whats the ++ for you?

Samuel Bolduc and other young options, could also throw in another 2nd or some assrtoment of other picks.

We already have a logjam at left D with JMo, Samberg, Stanley and Heinola. It’s why we aren’t bringing Dillon back so a lhd in Bolduc wouldn’t really interest me.

If it’s not Pulock maybe 20oa + D. Nelson + 2nd round pick. We draft a RHD or maybe have trade up options.

5’7 Russian centers would never work here given the massive Ukrainian population we have and the fact the Jets just won’t play small guys down the middle. Wahlstrom is looking like a bust that can’t play a whole season and is a winger so isn’t of major interest.

Nelson is from Minnesota and we seem to love guys from there. They appreciate the outdoors and seem to be happier here than others.

20oa + D. Nelson + 2nd round pick is just way too much IMO. Hes played a full season once in the past seven years and is a 25 goal, 60 point guy on a solid offensive team. Maybe 20OA, 54OVR and a future 2nd, but I don't think any team is getting you an offer comparable to what you're asking. I may be wrong tho but the Islanders arent sending a first and their top prospect for someone of Ehlers' caliber, it would need to be for a star
