As a Pens fan, no thanks to the trade for Malkin and Maatta. Malkin would just be traded for McDavid or Matthews.

As for the trade for Faulk, It would be awesome. But not a realistic one.

If you trade Malkin to Toronto and you don't get Marner or Nylander and a lot more then you are a terrible GM

Of course trading Malkin makes you a horrible GM

Break it down in two trade Malkin for jvr bozak and 1st then maatta and 2nd for brown kadri yes trading Malkin is not the best move but when Philwas putting up almost 40 goals it was with this line you are not going to get 1 for 1 swap

If I am forced to trade Malkin to Toronto, I want Nylander, a 1st and one of two prospects. Not one year of a tyler bozak, who sucks and one year of van riemsdyk

This is hilariously wrong. Malkin is not even value for McDavid or Matthews. Not even close.

I'd be open to trading Malkin to open up ice time and salary on the Pens, stay out of the quicksand LA has fallen into. Look at Chicago, they let go of almost everyone to keep moving forward.

But losing a trade today is a move you make, knowing you've got the edge in winning the trade at some point in the future.
Brown doesn't come close to Malkin or Matta. The 1st is completely undercut by the PIT 2nd going out, which means it's moving one pick up about 30 spots instead of adding a prospect.

JVR, Kadri, Bozak. Pittsburgh would be gambling their future to win this year alone. Would be interesting chemistry with Phil on the 3rd with Bozak.

I also don't like how this looks for Toronto's roster. They do add Matta, and Malkin is great but they're paying for his most expensive years while they've got 3 great young stars they would be smart to retain and get the most out of.

The trade would have more logic if one of Matthews/Nylander/Marner was in the package for Malkin + Matta.

I think Bozak's a great fit for Pittsburgh, once Pittsburgh unloads whatever vets at a post-Stanley Cup premium price and has more picks/prospects to deal from.
Hornqivst would be a good fit in Arizona for position/role/experience, but Arizona is extremely budget conscious as Gary's half-brother bought the team with a bank loan the NHL set up. The Coyotes started to let go of the past and make a push to improve using all the young players they've accumulated, but their arena plans have fallen through and they will stick to the cap floor until they really benefit from improved performance in a new home.

If Malkin is far from their trade value, what about your pathetic captain!? Capitals can trade their captain for Matthews gloves or McDavid's socks (adding the next 3 Capitald 1st round picks).

It is not I think Malkin sux or anything I know I am trading the best player away but people think a horrible trade look at points gaining 2 60+ 1 50+ and 35 and a 1st I would love nylander Mathews marner they are the core so I lost the best player in the trade but picked up 200+ points with the 4 players look at my line up plus make Phil better when he put up 40 goals it was with line jvr bozak Phil if phil starts putting up 75-80 with his old line mates add that in as well it also put a 60 point center in our 3rd line but this trade works for both sides
