Description

I believe the most realistic move to keeping Stamkos is to trade Cirelli. Love him as a player, but his salary isn't working for the bolts. Get the highest pick for him, use that money to resign Duclair and bring in a vet who can score 25-30 goals like Toffoli. I believe Duclair would take less than his 3m last year for a year with Point and Kuch, therefore he could test FA next summer with a 60 point season. Maroon is unlikely, but a fit if they trade Jeannot. I didn't check EDM salary situation, or MTL/CGY, but I would just trade them away for picks.

To this point. Cirelli was already rated as having the worst contract on the Lightning pre-season. That's only worse now. Going to have to pay to dump that contract IMO.

I knew when they signed him and Sergy it was overpriced. Cirelli is a 5m guy, not a mid 6m. Sergy is closer to a 7m guy, right now hes not a top 2 dman and thats what 8.5m is worth. Bad deals with those 2 coming from the salary portion of it. Also, if you look at Cirelli's actual salary for this upcoming year, its only 1.6m or something, majority of it is in signing bonus's.. I wonder why? How come Sergy and Cernak got NTC but Cirelli didnt? Seems like they knew this may be a possibility with Stammer and here we are.

Agreed there, I think a easy swap for a high pick to a young team with cap is worth it. You probably aren't drafting a Cirelli in the 2nd round, even with a high 2nd.

Clown crap here. If your giving away Cirelli for a 2 DON'T SIGN DUCLAIR AND TOFFOLI. KEEP Cirelli and go 22 instead of 23 last F***ING thing this team needs is to get substantially older.

You talking to me? How about forget Fluery have Crozier as the 7th defenseman so you have a scratched foward and defenseman and I was keeping your Stamkos number you clown. lol I responded to your scenario and your roster looks like ****. expecting 2 rookies to play on the 2nd and 3rd line. You have no offense outside of Kuch, Point, Hagel and Stammer. You made 0 effort into actually making the team better. You can't argue with a scenario if you dont even try man. Stick to watching the game in the seats.
