Toronto will have to pay to get rid of Kämpf below average 4c with term and not a cheap contract won’t be easy to move.

Why do so many Toronto guys keep trying to shoehorn Mitch Marner and his $10.9 million cap hit into cap-stressed rosters like Minnesota ($14.75 million dead cap next season) or Los Angeles ($20.9 million to re-sign Quinton Byfield and fill both goalie positions and eight other roster slots)? The proposed trade in this ACGM adds about $6 million (depending upon what Liljegren's new contract costs) to Minnesota's already serious cap problem and create an almost hopeless inability to re-sign both Marner and Brock Faber in 2025. Please go play pretend-Marner-is-going-somewhere with teams like Utah and Chicago and Nashville and Columbus.

Those are teams he could potentially waive to go too and who wouldn’t want Mitch Marner on their team 90 point player. I get his cap hit is high but he’s a really good player. Some people out here thinking he has negative trade value or something 😂😂 also Minnesota may not be the best option especially since they still have praise and Suter deals still on the books Nashville and LA could be potential fits Nashville the best probably.

If you really like an expensive car, but cannot afford it, do you still go out and buy it?

Marner isn't worth his cap hit and most teams don't have space for his cap hit without screwing up the rest of their team.
Given he's a rental they aren't going to do that. Facts are just facts, he reportedly wants 12-12.5 on his next deal..... good luck with that. That's basically untradeable.
Teams will make runs at Reinhart before they agree to that mess.
Can't see a single team in the league giving up a large amount of assets for a guy looking for that kind of extension. They can just wait till FA if TOR doesn't want to play ball.
It's not like TOR has any leverage. If they know they aren't resigning him, and they don't play ball he'll walk.

Well if I’m Brad in def not give him that, and if he walks into Free Agency I’m sure a team like San Jose, Chicago etc would be his only options really if he wants that money.

I'm gonna laugh when TOR does give him that, because they are the only team that would.

stop sending Marmer to us! We dont have cap or need for Marner. Jonas Brodin isn't getting moved, nor is he waived. This is a No from Wild

why is Minnesota the potential team he would waive too?? Wild fans have made it clear the wild don't have the cap, and the Goal is to resign Brock Faber and Kaprizov 1st. Respectfully trades that are being made on here, player's contract should be looked at. Brodin has a full NMC and isn't waiving anytime soon. He's also still a stud shutdown DMan that Wild have no reason to trade.
