Blues love Parayko and his contract and he's our best defensemen. Marner is a great player but the blues will not be paying him what he wants. If he wants to sign at 9-9.5 mil and take a paycut then maybe but I doubt he does that. Also our defense isn't great so removing our best defensemen makes it a lot harder to improve in that area. Marner is not a fit for the blues

Trade isn't happening. Not sending our 1RD for a player we won't want to pay his demands. Is he good? Sure. But not worth 10+ mil which is what he will demand. And certainly don't want him at the expense of our only defensive defenseman on this team.
