Personally I don't think I would trade Brady for Marner. Brady is a leader, a rare breed of power forward (like Wilson or a slightly more hard nosed version of his brother). Marner has insane talent but I think Brady is more valuable in the overall landscape of the NHL

Lol wait what...ottawa is paying for Marner?

Ok listen folks...IF the TML move Marner its to free up cap to address actual needs(defence and goalie) and to change culture...

The #1 asset they will recieve = cap space

nobody will admit it, but the only thing brady has on marner is contract status and physicality i guess, marner is the better player. better production and defensively. the knock on marner is he hasnt been good in the playoffs, but brady tkachuk is 6 years into his career and has never played a second of playoff hockey. brady at 4 years>marner at 1 but marners better lets not kid ourselves

Two completely different players, I would rather have a 35-40 goal scoring 1st line power forward that actually will lead a team compared to a 100 point primadonna that disappears on the ice from time to time. Also Marner is 3 years older and fits the Senators window far less

what has brady ever lead his team too though lol? this is what i dont get about brady, hes looked at as this unreal leader and playoff type player yet hes never led his team to anything and has never played in the playoffs. and if marner is a primadonna, then so is brady lol. I even said that the sens wouldnt and shouldnt do a marner for tkachuk cause of tkachuks contract but marner is the better player. but brady is viewed as this god who hasnt done anything so far in his career

Brady, is someone that actually has a voice in the lockerroom, is Marner well liked by his coaches and teammates through and through. Not from what we have recently seen in the playoffs.

Brady puts everything into every shift. Also to your point what has Marner lead his team to? You cannot say the playoffs or whatever because it isn't Marner carrying the team on his back, its Matthews and Nylander that are the true stars of the leafs

marner is very well liked as supported by his teammates saying so. an argument on the bench doesnt change that. i never claimed marner to be a great leader and lead his team to anything. im simply saying brady hasnt lead his team to anything after you said brady will actually lead his team. hes yet to lead them anywhere. i know marner hasnt lead them in the playoffs and i know its matthews and nylander but i never claimed marner did
