Any team that is right around the 6-10 spot in the conference should want Marner to get them into a playoff spot. Would be a team who has cap space and is also willing to part ways with 2-3 assets.
My eyes go to Seattle almost right away. Would they give up a package of say Bjorgstrand Tolvanen Ty Nelson and maybe a pick?
I keep thinking about Calgary, but giving up Marksteom in the trade might hurt their chances.
Calgary doesn't make sense. They would have to create a hole to acquire Marner. Possibly a bigger hike than can be filled. Also, not sure Marner would waive for Cal.
Seattle makes a bunch of sense. I could see something around Oleksiak, A level prospect not named Wright and a protected 1st.
