Really don’t see a dire need to acquire Samuelsson. But if the Blues were to I’d reserve judgement that my assessment of the player is wrong.

Don’t think he’s bad, just don’t think he’s more than a 2nd pair complementary guy like Leddy, like Lindstein probably projects to be. And he has a lot of term on the contract.

Also I’d be shocked if someone gave up a 2nd for Perunovich

I’d be ok with the first trade, there’s no way Scotty P is worth anything more than a 6th rounder, and the Philly trade is brutal.

I like Samuelsson but understand. Agree on Perunovich - I got greedy there. Utah has like zero dmen so figured they could use one of their 100 picks for him. Much more likely a 3rd or 4th though.

In regards to the Philly trade being brutal, there is a very realistic world where the Blues hope that Snuggerud is as good as Farabee is now so not so certain how it's brutal...

I wouldn't say that the Philly trade is brutal, but I still wouldn't do it. They are similar enough players, but I think that Snuggerud will have more scoring upside than Farabee.

If Buch came with an extension I'd probably do it but wouldn't gamble on one year of Buch and then he heads either to the Rangers or Florida

I’m just not sold on trading Snug for anyone. Farabee would be a welcomed top 6 pest but if Philly’s asking price for Laughton is a 1st I can’t even imagine what Farabee’s price is, probably Jimmy plus 2 firsts.
