Had same idea for Farabee trade think it makes all around sense for both and love this idea. The Konecny value in return no need to take money. And probably for Laughton it will need to be a higher pick as that will be in the late 50s early 60s

I'd rather remove Broberg from the deal. That shouldn't be a problem for you as you obviously don't think he can make the NHL even as a 7th defenseman, so we'll keep him.

That means Konecny (50% retained) for 1st + 2nd + Bourgault. No need to make it a sign-and-trade even.
