Offseason Plan:

1) Hire Mike Sullivan, Jon Cooper, Rod Brind'Amour, David Carle, or Craig Berube

2) Acquire a veteran dman like Brayden McNabb. He is a reliable 3rd pairing dman who brings a physical aspect to his game. He’d be a very reliable partner for a young dman like Nemec

3) Acquire Linus Ullmark. He makes the most sense when it comes to acquisition price, cap hit, age, and ability to play the position

4) RFA’s: After Mercer’s lackluster 23-24 season, it is best to bridge him at an affordable number until the end of Palat’s deal. The rest of the RFA’s are mainly depth pieces on cheap short term deals

5) UFA’s: In 22-23, the Devils were known for skating teams into the ground. That wasn’t the case with the 23-24 Devils. Adding a player like Duclair and bringing back Tatar will inject more speed into the lineup. Fischer is also an improvement over Bastian as he’ll provide both his size and some offensive ability
