Lou isn't allowed to do this. NYI are stuck in purgatory for years now. Not bad enough for ownership to rebuild. Not good enough to compete. Just like PIT, WSH, and TBL.

Islanders should probably do what Kings did with their rebuild. Keep the core players and get few high picks.

Yeah they've looked great in the postseason. How many games have they won this year? How far did they go last year? This is the beginning of the end for them and it will only decline from here. It's the inevitable cycle of teams in the cap era.

Which of PIT/WAS has a Point/Cirelli/Cernak/Sergachev level player under 30? Hell, I'll even give you the Islanders at least have Barzal/Dobson/Sorokin, but Washington/Pittsburgh? Not remotely close to the same situation as Tampa.

But you go on talking **** because Tampa is losing close games to the team that's probably going to the Finals again lol.

Not that any of these players are special, but Pettersson is better than Cernak and Strome is better than Cirelli. So you're just further proving that TBL is a top heavy team that has lost their depth. What precedent exists in the cap era for a team to defy the normal cycles? Maybe Boston, but even they added a lot of futures from 2015-2018 to reload. Tampa has sold their future and started aging. Just the nature of a parity league.

So you managed to find one player in each organization that may be marginally better?

    LOL.

Tampa is absolutely on their way down. They're nowhere near the bottom like Washington/Pittsburgh are.

You explicitly asked for examples of comparable players and I provided them. The fact is that while Tampa is at the start of the decline, they are on the decline and the cycle works the same every time. With their results following EXACTLY that trend.

Even though the results are following EXACTLY that trend.

You provided one player from each organization to counter four from Tampa and neither is anywhere near the level of Point or Sergachev.

... But you still think Tampa is comparable to Washington or Pittsburgh. tears of joy
