Utah's new owner says that he and his wife want their team to be competitive right out of the box, so I expect them to aggressively pursue free agents in the off season. I don't expect them to be able to land any of the big names (Guentzel, Lindholm, Reinhart, Pesce, Roy) but I'll take Chandler Stephenson or Sean Monahan at $5.5 million for however many years they want and Jonathan Marchessault or Tyler Toffoli at $6 million for however many years they want. (If Utah can't land one of the latter, maybe they can sign Jake DeBrusk for up to $5 million.) Brady Skjei should like his number and term.
None of the current crop of free-agent goaltenders appealed to me, at least for Utah.
Toronto fans are always insisting that Timothy Liljegren is worth more than a second, so, here's twice that.
Utah puts an end to the previous regime's Barrett Hayton mistake; Habs fans keep telling everyone that Jordan Harris or Jayden Struble has to go. I'll take either.
A couple of recent first-round draft picks signed off the Reserve List even though I don't think that will happen this season; I'm just doing this so no one forgets who's in the pipeline.
Liljegren has some value. I think that two seconds is probably high but I wanted to pre-empt the outraged screams of Toronto homers claiming he's as good as Bowen Byram. (One such in particular has said that he's worth two top-40 picks.) I thought your comment was criticizing me for saying that he was only worth two fifths.
Ahh so because I made a judgement relating to hockey you made a judgement about my vision…boooooo
Picking on you but it’s kind of sad some of the comments on here especially from you who was high on my list of respected posters… mostly cuz I’m also an old NYI fan…1977 to about 1988

I didn't make a judgment, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and tried to make a joke . . . too bad it didn't come across to you.
Sandy and Lily are currently the same age. Pay attention.
And Lily has been good in T-4 mins. Thinking otherwise shows your lack of knowledge
According to the official nhl website, Sandin is 24, birthday march 7. Liljegren is gonna be 25 in 3 days. Sure they are the same age, for 3 days. The Sandin trade also happened when he was 22…
Liljegren has been outrageously bad in a top 4 role this season lol
