Detroit ain't taking it either. Don't have the cap to add Marner's $10.9M this year, let alone retain him on a new contract.

Before it got to that point I don't see those being the pieces that the Leafs want.

Now if there were some world where he decided to not take a huge bump, SY signs him to a 4 year deal, you find a way to make it work. Hopefully the ELC contracts would fill the gaps otherwise occupied by stop-gap plugs (Kane/Perron/etc.). A lot of pieces would need moving.

Ehh... I don't find a way to make that work at all lol.

Seider and Raymond are gonna command $17M, give or take, of Detroit's $30M in cap space. (Assuming Holl buyout) **** sucking the rest of that up with Marner.

Probably no realistic way correct. But in terms of this proposal (which is already unrealistic), if PlayStation/xbox moves were made and assets were siphoned there is a way lol. Wouldn’t be smart of comfortable, but the team would be solid.

I dunno that the team would be solid, honestly. The only logical way to make that work is to move Debrincat. Otherwise you've sucked up over a third of your cap in three small wingers.

Detroit's problem isn't at forward.

Oh I agree. lol I just made one for fun to see…. Team is solid but not realistic. Won’t post for the simple fact it would be ripped to shreds.

Here’s the bullet points from it:
Cat-Larkin-Marner
Ras-Compher-Razor
Mazur-Kasper-Copp (see where it goes off the rails here)
Veleno-Danielson-Fischer
Ed-Mo
AJ-Roy
Kulikov-Chiarot
Lyon-Brossoit

Petry scratch

Soda-Tuo taxi squad

2M in cap space on 21 man roster

Players like Marner have gotten Marner’s team nowhere.

Marner’s piss poor postseason track record and Marner’s mammoth contract are a big part of that lack of achievement.
