Honestly I think that’s a slight overpay . Remove the 2nd and I’d be pretty happy with that return. Similar to the Debrincat trade but Dowd is a better 2 way player than Kubalik .

And the 1st is likely earlier but Debrincat put the Sens in a tough spot when he said he’d only want to go to Detroit which dropped his value

Anyone who makes an ACGM with Sprong or Vrana back to the Caps needs to be banned

Not bad blood lol more of a personal gripe with certain Caps fans from me. They both were moved on from for a reason. Fans always see great rate scorers waiting to be unlocked and constantly scream for them to be put in the top 6 and on pp1, coaches (rightfully) see guys that cheat an insane amount for offense and can't be trusted in crunch time. Caps have already tried this reclamation project with Sprong once and it didn't work out, there are better ways to spend your money in UFA

Fair - He has just had 2 solid years. So I was just thinking "what does Washington need with this last 3m". More scoring from the forwards is what I fell on and I chose Sprong. Not knowing the past history. So replace Sprong with another player who can put up 40ish points. I also was focusing on a guy who wasn't too old (he is 27).
