If the Kings had in mind they were making that trade strictly as a rental and were not going to resign Marner then great that works however at 10.9m AAV it doesn't work. Somehow some way 50% would have to be retained on Marner but without that 50% retention Kings definitely can't afford Marner and fill out their roster.
