Truthfully, I don't see hardly any of a need for any of those pieces in a Buch return.

Completely understand the rationale. But unless we'd somehow move out Krug without retaining any salary, I don't see how or why we'd want to add Samuelsson. Not a bad player by any means, but he's more of what we have and would probably slot below Leddy anyways.

Really don't see a need for Rosen. Good prospect, doesn't fit a need though.

Could almost see it as more of a benefit if Rosen and Samuelsson played opposite positions. Middle 6 forward and a top 4 D prospect versus a 2nd pair defenseman and top 6 forward prospect.

We’re not trading Karlsson. 41 goals in last 90 games. One of the best 2 way centers in hockey and still locked up for another 3 years (our “cup window”)

I think Buch to BUF makes sense. I recommended Buch for Johnson and Savoie but people didn't like it. The Blues would want a high end defenseman prospect and a center I think.

There's probably a timeline where the Blues accept Samuelsson in a Buch package. I highly doubt Rosen would be of much interest. Buffalo absolutely has the goods to get Buch. Honestly, they could probably pit together five or six acceptable offers with all the young talent they have at the right positions and/or with the right attributes.

Long story short, we'd need to alter the contents of the package here, but there's a lot of ways to do it. Up to and including a swap of 24 1sts.

If the Blues are trading Buch - they are not getting a better package than this. They immediately get 2 guys they could plug into their lineup in this trade next year - top 4 dman and top 9 forward.

Maybe it's because I look at Blues stuff the most, but sometimes our fans on here appear like the biggest collection of homers in the league.

Dude, Rosen is not ready to take a top 9 wing spot on the Blues, and he'd have no business playing 4th line. And that's just today. A year or two from now? Forget it. A tiny winger is not anything we need or want. And that's even before we get to the concept that Buffalo probably kinda wants to offload Sammy now that Byram is on board and heading for a long contract. AND the fact that Buffalo have like 419 good prospects of all types to pick from.

Stop with the homer stuff. And the "they're not getting a better package than this" stuff, for that matter. There's value and there's the right value. And as always, Buch is not on the block. Somebody will need to connive Army to give him up.

He's more ready to take a top nine role than Dean is, and Blues are playing him in top 9...Plenty of "tiny forwards' having success around the league. He's 5'11"...or an inch smaller than Kyrou and Thomas... You can tell yourself that Buch is not on the block all you want, but until he signs an extension...he's on the block.

This trade package is more than acceptable. Maybe Doug wants other pieces, but every Blues fan on hear scoffing that it's an unacceptable trade looks like a moron and an unreasonable homer.

Uhh, no he's not. He's not ready for Buffalo's, so I have no idea how he's ready for ours.

Tiny is not just about height. In fact, it's usually less about height than weight. He's 6 feet now and in the 160s. That's a tiny winger.

I'm not going to argue dictionary definitions of words with you again. That goes nowhere.

Seriously, piss off with your homer nonsense. Nobody who wants to trash Kyrou gets to call others homers. And it's called negotiating, lord genius. Just take the first thing that comes your way all you like, nobody is a moron or a homer for making perfectly valid points in favor of different pieces in a package. About sick of this **** from you, man. Trying to be patient and understanding, but enough.

It’s not the value just the stuff we are getting back.

But go ahead call people homers, when you can’t understand simplicity

Whatever...Blues would be very happy to receive this package if they can't resign Buch...you don't know everything.

Kelly Chase has "trashed" Kyrou and his effort on more than one occasion. Is he allowed to have an opinion on Blues players or does he not meet your magical criteria either???
