It's interesting to go back even just a few years like this. Laf was the lock #1 OA pick and he was simply drafted to a team that didn't play him much at all. 13 ATOI for 2 years in a row simply isn't enough time. Gotta play more hockey. I'm still betting he'll be the #1 OA pick when all these guys careers are over. Just awful player development by the Rangers. He was 20-21 years old and asked to be a 3rd line enforcer laying 108 and 144 hits respectively. Just...Why draft that guy #1 OA if that's the role you're going to put him in.

its pretty easy to find overrated defensemen?
