I assume that if the Coyotes move to Utah and if Keller requests a trade, they would want to make a hockey trade for another star player. In that scenario, I think that Utah would sign UFAs and start to spend draft picks to try and construct a good team to build a fan base. So this proposal would not appeal to them.

Why would being on a bad team in Utah be any different from being on a bad team in Arizona?

Utah is gonna be very active and trying to spend to the cap and add players and push.

i'll tell you why it's different. a new owner that just paid $1.2B for a franchise will be way more likely to be willing to pay talent. if anything, makes it less likely he's available. Keller will be pissed to be away from the Arizona golf though

I highly doubt Kreider, who is becoming a big name in the franchise history books, is gonna be traded

Trouba should be traded or bought out, but I doubt that happens either
