Yeah this trade with Detroit is extremely one sided

So Detroit trades away their future starter and a good young centre for 2 aging, overpaid, and bad D-men (like they don't have enough of those) an OK AHL starter and a seventh round pick. And all of this is happening when they are rebuilding and in a cap situation.

Rumor was that the wings like Phaneuf and were interested. Boroweiki provides them a third line d man that is more of a physical force than Ericsson and much cheaper. This would allow Detroit to trade away Ericsson and have a replacement for him. Hammond is a much cheaper backup than Mrazek and it solves the wings goalie issue and gets rid of the goalie they appear to be less interested in moving forward and saves a ton in cap space for them. Essentially Ottawa would be getting Andreas for Phaneuf, Boro and solving the wings goalie situation plus if Detroit trades ericcson away for a pick then Detroit gains two d men and a pick for Andreas without gaining anything in salary.
