Description
The Blues probably won't be able to pry Pinto away from Ottawa and Stephenson is too old to fit into the Blues plans properly. So is it possible that Dvorsky becomes the extra center next year? Also, I assume Bolduc and Snuggerud are ready to go to start the season.

However, with Sundqvist's injury and Dean not ready yet, they probably still need to find another forward anyway. What's the solution? Resign Alexandrov? Someone else?

Hayes at 2C makes me want to bleach my eyes.. would rather Dvorsky to just slot in at 2C and feed him to the wolves than see Hayes there

I can't really get worked up about who is going to play 3C if there are literally no other significant roster changes being made besides just bringing in Snuggerud. If Armstrong insists on keeping (or is forced to keep) the team in neutral then you might as well just play Schenn there. You do what's best for Dvorsky's development at that point, because I think you'd be hard pressed to expect much more out of this roster than we've seen this year.

I also don't think that Bolduc, Dean and Snuggerud are going to play so well down the stretch this season as to make the Blues forgoe bringing in any forward help this summer. I don't think they can go into the season with all of those guys penciled in for a roster spot. Veterans are fine as long as they don't cost too much money for too long. That's what really makes Stephenson a non-starter for me.

I assume Dvorsky is AHL eligible? I know he was when he left the SHL, not sure if playing OHL this season changed anything. I think he should develop in Springfield next year.

Doug with money to spend is a scary thought...

He'll have cap space but I'm not sure he'll actually have money to spend. I wouldn't be surprised if this team-like most NHL franchises- needs playoff revenue pretty consistently in order to keep spending to the cap.

Army is going to have to make some trades this summer.

I’m convinced Dvorsky will surprise Blues fans in camp and at least get a 9 game trial, similar to Neighbours. Army is almost guaranteed to sign another forward though, preferably a 3rd line Kapanen/Blais replacement. Also it’s time to move on from Alexandrov. The problem is if the Blues don’t plan on retaining his RFA rights, why hasn’t be just been waived and sent to Springfield yet. Makes me feel like he’ll get a 1 year prove-it deal.
