Description
1. Christian Dvorak (UFA) will be traded at the TDL for a 2-4r rd pick (maybe 25-35 points as a center at the TDL ?), This could free up the space Center for Newhook and give a chance to prospect on 3rd line, Heineman ?)

2. Joel Armia will be traded at the TDL for a 3-5 rd pick (25 points with 10 goals at the TDL ?) This could free up the space for Farrel or a player cap-dump coming back with the trade.

3. David Savard will be traded at the TDL for a 1-2 rd pick, this will give the callup for Reinbacher if the season goes well Ahl

4. I Would want to keep Matheson depending on how Hutson does in 1-2 seasons with Laval

5. Not too sure what to do with Barron as he won't be waiver exempt 2024-2025 and would get picked up, probably trade for picks then ? Mailloux is higher on my list.

6. If we are not ready to play our 2024 pick on the 3rd line then trade Barron for a player that could fit that line (player like Nicholas Robertson ?) or on top add some 2 x 1st round picks and get a player with more impact (Jesper Bratt type player and move Joshua Roy to 3rd line)

Not cup contenders but maybe wild card spot team with this roster ?

2025-2026 Add Full time Reinbacher + Hutson + 2024 1st rd Fwd + Owen Beck 4th line center still not cup contenders but in the playoff picture for sure.

I've never thought about marchessault... I think it could be a good fit... He's already won a cup... Vegas only has 9mil to spend for 7 roster players this summer! Our 1st pick this summer will not be in the lineup next year.

Yeah that's why in the notes I said to probably trade a Defense prospect with 2 x 1st round Pick to get an impact player on the second line, move down Roy 3rd line and by the time Marchessault contract is up our 2024 fwd pick will be ready for the 2nd line job

Not even close to take on Anderson. You realize MTL got a 1st for only one year of that Monahan contract. Anderson has THREE more years, so unless you're sending over multiple firsts, its a very easy no

Ok I might the off but asking for multiple 1st is even more crazy. It's not like San Jose are going to be playoff contenders in the next 3 years, maybe a 1st + Jordan Harris would work but at that price Kent Hughes probably doesn't do it.

Calgary did it also because they didn't have a choice with Kadri signing as Montreal can always wait, San Jose need that pick and Josh Anderson is still a NHL caliber of player that can fill a shirt for them and the rebuild phase and protect their prospect with his size.

Now, instead of the pointless giving of assets away with almost 13 million in cap space, bury Anderson if you despise him so much and get an actual return for Harris? Food for thought, proper asset management is usually preferred.

Now, instead of critiquing only 1 part of the entire post you could actually post a constructive comment on how to deal with the Josh Anderson situation.

Because as of right now he's not an asset as he's got a negative value on the market and is considered a liability and in order to balance that you have to give asset, food for though.

As for the cap space remaining, you would see in the notes that it would be in the plans getting a top 6 talent in the likes of Jesper Bratt and keep the remainder of the cap space for Slaf/Guhle.

But yeah just comment on how bad this is without giving any insight that would further this conversation

The multiple 1sts was mostly exaggeration because of how awful the original offer would be for SJ. And SJ I'm sure is happy to take on short term contract dumps but 3 years is crazy. It would have to be a very good return to even begin to entertain taking that contract on

So SJ should give Montreal a discount? What Canadian arrogance
