If they use the assets they didn't spend, to find a way to dump Campbell during the off season, I think it makes sense.

Of course going deep would make it look pretty good as well.

I know Campbell's bouncing back in the AHL but I'd never trust him again.

On an unrelated note, can I interest you in Markstrom? He's awesome, definitely not worried he'll turn back into a pumpkin.

If you don't have a legit 1A 1B what difference does it make.
Ned would never be a trusted playoff goalie to lead you to a cup if Skinner went down. Not that Skinner is some great goalie either.
But you ride the horse that got you there and if he goes down you are probably going down anyway.

I don't think we go deep sadly, if anything it feels like we're 1st round exits this year. I would rather have us grab an extra top 4 piece for the d-core and buyout Campbell instead.

Since Markstrom has been far more consistent I'd much rather take him

Skinner tends to excell when he's not overplayed, I'd trust him to have an Adin Hill or Darcy Keumper type performance where he only has to play a really good 12-16 games while Ned would just play 4-6 games to take some relief off of Skinner. Pickard is barely an NHL goalie and Ned has proven to be much better

It doesn't really matter if you are making a long playoff run. Ned isn't going to get in net, and even if he did, do you really want him there in playoff games.
The answer to that is no. You don't.
    so there is no "relief"
