It's a dart throw, the pick is probably in the teens as MTL would be taking a big step forward with Zegras, we would actively be hurting our return by taking a future pick that will be lower because you have Zegras on the roster and will win more games.

If you want to get Zegras for a 1st rounder, it's this years 5OA pick, and a Beck tier prospect, and no bad salary coming the other way.

As usual, OP, you don't buy Zegras with spare parts.

The only way this trade gets accepted is at the 2025 draft and the pick is 8-12. It’s also assuming Zegras recover from his injuries and bouce back next season to close to the 60 pts he was able to put, or he somehow developp some defensive skills
