You have the wrong team to pick up the Ryan Johansen contract. Arizona is still in the business of collecting picks, so they'll pick up the phone.

So basically Ottawa trades 6 OA, 27-32 OA, and Boucher for Risto, Laughton, 15 OA and a 2nd. Id probably do Laughton for Bos 1st and Boucher, not interested in moving a high pick for Risto.

I can see buffalo taking bpa regardless of need or fit, or trading it for something pretty nice that would help right now. I do not see any incentive to trade a battleship for some row boats, no matter how many oars are thrown in.

It would be an odd move for the Jets to turn two (serviceable) cap dumps and a young, cost-controlled skill player into some draft picks, one unplayable cap dump, and yet another left-handed bottom pairing defenceman.

The Jets already have 4 bottom-pairing LHD (one of which has been stuck withering in the AHL for years). We really don't need more.

OTT not trading this years pick, and the gap between 6th and 15th is FAR FAR FAR greater than Ristolainen, Rasmus
