Description
This is not a ranking.
RONDE 1ÉQUIPEORIGINALJOUEURDéTAILS
1Logo de Blackhawks de Chicago-
Macklin Celebrini
San Jose, The Sharks keep the top spot and select the top prospect.
2Logo de Ducks d'Anaheim-
Cayden Lindstrom
Chicago, The Hawks have been building their young forward core around speed. They continue this trend with a big, fast, and physical centre.
3Logo de Blue Jackets de Columbus-
Artyom Levshunov
Anaheim, Anaheim fills the hole on RHD left by trading away Drysdale.
4Logo de Sharks de San Jose-
Sam Dickinson
Columbus, The Jackets are trying to improve their culture after years of under-performing. They start by drafting a big LHD out of the London Knights.
5Logo de Canadiens de Montréal-
Ivan Demidov
New York I., The Islanders are the only team to move up in the draft. They snag a top talent to help bolster their scoring.
6Logo de Coyotes de l'Arizona-
Anton Silayev
Arizona, The Coyotes reached for Simashev in the last draft and get the opportunity to take another similar player here.
7Logo de Flyers de Philadelphie-
Zayne Parekh
Ottawa, The Senators need RHD, so they take a chance on a high upside pick.
8Logo de Capitals de Washington-
Cole Eiserman
Montreal, The Habs want to add a scoring forward to their prospect pool, so they take a high end goalscorer.
9Logo de Red Wings de Detroit-
Igor Chernyshov
New Jersey, The Devils add a big, fast winger with upside.
10Logo de Blues de St-Louis-
Carter Yakemchuk
Buffalo, The Sabres also need RHD, so they take one with size and offensive upside.
11Logo de Canucks de Vancouver-
Zeev Buium
San Jose, The Sharks win the draft by adding a promising LHD to go with their new top centre.
12Logo de Coyotes de l'ArizonaLogo de Sénateurs d'Ottawa
Berkly Catton
Seattle,The Kraken look to add offence by drafting a skilled forward already playing in the state.
13Logo de Sabres de Buffalo-
Tij Iginla
Calgary, The Flames respect the family's ties to the organization and draft Iginla.
14Logo de Penguins de Pittsburgh-
Konsta Helenius
Detroit, The Wings love drafting middle six centres, and in this case they don't even have to reach to do so.
15Logo de Predators de Nashville-
Michael Brandsegg Nygard
Minnesota, A sniper with a 200ft. game, MBN reminds me a bit of Boldy - a pick in this range that the Wild should be pretty happy with.
16Logo de Flames de Calgary-
Adam Jiricek
St. Louis, The Blues want defence, so they take a chance on the younger Jiricek despite his struggles this season.
17Logo de Red Wings de DetroitLogo de Islanders de New York
Trevor Connelly
Washington, The Capitals go for speed and skill, grabbing a player who other teams may have passed on despite the on-ice talent.
18Logo de Jets de Winnipeg-
Nikita Artamonov
Philadelphia, The Flyers find a good balance of ability and work ethic in a highly intelligent winger.
19Logo de Blackhawks de ChicagoLogo de Lightning de Tampa Bay
Andrew Basha
Chicago, The Hawks take a teammate of Lindstrom's, adding another top six winger option to their lineup.
20Logo de Kraken de Seattle-
Liam Greentree
Vegas. The Knights steal a very skilled player who falls due to a lack of pace. They might want to hang on to this one, but I imagine the return they'd get for him would be substantial.
21Logo de Wild du Minnesota-
Emil Hemming
LA, A solid defensive winger with size and speed fits the Kings' identity well.
22Logo de Flyers de PhiladelphieLogo de Kings de Los Angeles
Beckett Sennecke
Nashville, The Predators bet on upside again, taking a skilled winger who hasn't quite put things together yet.
23Logo de Rangers de New York-
Dominik Badinka
Toronto, The Leafs have clearly identified their right side as a position of weakness, so they move to address it with a big, physical defenseman.
24Logo de Predators de NashvilleLogo de Oilers d'Edmonton
Yegor Surin
Anaheim. The Ducks add a forward who plays with a good mix of grit and skill.
25Logo de Blues de St-LouisLogo de Maple Leafs de Toronto
Harrison Brunicke
Dallas. The Stars picked up Tanev for their playoff run, but at his age, they'll want to have a replacement ready to go in a couple years.
26Logo de Sharks de San JoseLogo de Devils du New Jersey
Michael Hage
Carolina. The Hurricanes add a high upside centre who falls due to a rough start to the season.
27Logo de Avalanche du Colorado-
Sacha Boisvert
Colorado, The Avalanche have made multiple moves to add centre depth to their lineup in the past year, but I see know reason for them to stop now.
28Logo de Maple Leafs de TorontoLogo de Bruins de Boston
EJ Emery
Ottawa, The Senators add another RHD, this time a defensive specialist to complement the offensive specialist they already picked,
29Logo de Blues de St-LouisLogo de Stars de Dallas
Alfons Freij
Calgary, Having traded away some key pieces on defense, Calgary adds a puck-moving LHD who plays a well-rounded game.
30Logo de Hurricanes de la Caroline-
John Mustard
Philadelphia, The Flyers grabs a dynamic forward who has risen up the draft rankings.
31Logo de Avalanche du ColoradoLogo de Panthers de la Floride
Kamil Bednarik
Montreal, The Habs reach a bit to select a promising power forward who has played well with Eiserman this season.
32Logo de Golden Knights de Vegas-
Terik Parascak
New York, The Rangers are happy to take this year's version of Perreault, a smart winger with great production who falls due to concerns about skating, his ability to drive play, and the strength of his linemates.
RONDE 2ÉQUIPEORIGINALJOUEURDéTAILS
33Logo de Ducks d'Anaheim-
Charlie Elick
San Jose, The Sharks add a solid RHD.
34Logo de Blue Jackets de Columbus-
Jett Luchanko
Chicago, More speed for the Hawks, as they continue to flesh out their future top 9.
35Logo de Blackhawks de Chicago-
Marek Vanacker
Anaheim, The Ducks take a smart and hard-working winger.
36Logo de Sharks de San Jose-
Miguel Marques
Columbus, The Jackets add a high-octane forward with a good mix of effort and skill.
37Logo de Lightning de Tampa BayLogo de Canadiens de Montréal
Jesse Pulkkinen
Arizona, This is probably a bit of overkill in terms of giant defensemen for the Coyotes, but pick 37 is good value for Pulkkinen and he's a type of player they like.
38Logo de Coyotes de l'Arizona-
Dean Letourneau
Ottawa, The Senators gamble on a big skilled forward who has played very well this season, but against very weak competition.
39Logo de Sabres de BuffaloLogo de Flyers de Philadelphie
Tanner Howe
Winnipeg, The Jets take a hard-working winger with a high floor who is playing relatively close by.
40Logo de Capitals de Washington-
Luke Misa
San Jose, The draft just keeps getting better for the Sharks, as they steal a good prospect in Misa who falls due to size concerns.
41Logo de Red Wings de Detroit-

Sharks are super deep at LHD. I think they'd almost definitely trade up to get Parekh or Yakemchuk if they get Celebrini. If they're not able to, the they possibly even prefer Catton or Helenius at 11 over Buium.

I think Chicago likely take Dimidov at 2, but I'm just not super blown away by Lindstrom overall

I didn't want to trade any of the picks for this, so everyone stayed at the spot where they landed after the lottery simulation. Catton would be a good choice for San Jose too (I have them both a fair bit higher in my rankings), but I do think Buium could be a big upgrade over the Shark's current LHD prospects.

Demidov would be a great pick at 2; I have him second on my rankings at the moment. I think Lindstrom is a lock for the top 5 though, so he'll probably end up a lot higher than you'd like if you're not sold on him.

I wonder if CBJ would take Catton at 4 if Lindstrom is gone due to a need at C. They have Fantilli, but then KJ might not be that 2C and Voronkov isn't a 2C. And they don't have anyone else really

Yeah that's fair, pretty impossible to account for potential trades.

But I think Mukhamadullin has a similar ceiling to Buium and is essentially NHL ready, then they have Thrun who's shown to be a really solid 2nd pairing guy already in the NHL, then obviously Ferraro who's only 25 and a really great 1st pairing d-man when paired with a puckmoving RHD, and Cagnoni who is more and more impressive every week and could be a really special player. I feel all would be hard done by to be on the 3rd Pairing in the future.

Yeah I could really see Lindstrom go anywhere between 3-12

It's possible, but I'm not sure if Catton will be a centre at the NHL level. He might be, but he could also be more like a Clayton Keller type who moves to the wing. If Columbus thinks he's a centre though, they could definitely take him at 4.

Good to know; I'll try a different option for the Sharks the next time I make one of these. Catton and Celebrini would be an incredible haul.

Lindstrom at 12 would be genuinely shocking to me

I wasn't trading any of the picks for this, because I didn't want to deal with mock trades, but yes, I wouldn't be surprised if it got traded.

Columbus has LDs falling out of their ears already. I don;t think some of these teams you have taking Dman high will actually take a Dman.

All depends on how the Hawks feel about Sam Rinzel. He certainly proving in college he's a stop 4 defensive prospect, but is he a first liner? If the Hawks feel he has a 2nd line ceiling at this point, I could see them going for Levshunov with the 2nd overall pick. On the other hand, if they feel Rinzel can be a first liner, they will go with forward for sure either taking Lindstrom or Demidov and depending how they feel about Demidov and when he will come to the NHL (by 2026) he could be the pick as Chicago noticeably needs a RW forward prospect.
