Yes I trust it. I don't always trust the coaching though. And not necessarily just in terms of structure or game to game, but somewhat in player development and improvement more-so

This isn't even close to what next year's Red Wings will look like.

You're missing Mazur and Berggren and Fischer will likely be re-signed.

Red Wings value his defense.

Where's Veleno?

Fabs likely gets traded.

Soderblom hasn't done anything in Grand Rapids to deserve a spot on the Red Wings.

Holl will probably be bought out.

Cossa needs another season in Grand Rapids.

Seider will get much more on a max deal since Detroit would be buying UFA years.

Sprong has probably priced himself out of Detroit.

His money will go to re-signing Perron who is a leader on that team.

If Danielson makes the team he won't be 2C. LOL

Kasper needs another season in Grand Rapids.

Yzerman will likely target Michigan boy Matt Roy as a UFA.

Young Edvinsson will need a solid D partner.

Johansson has done everything he can do in Grand Rapids and should get a shot in Detroit.

Red Wings are ahead in their development in my opinion.

The future nucleus of this team is in Grand Rapids.

Yzerman is buying time until his kids are ready.

He surely won't be swayed by what the media or fanbase thinks.

He just proved at the trade deadline he's not fast tracking anything.

I don't think Newsy is the long term head coach for this team.

He's better than Blashill but then again he has more talent to work with.

Yzerman hasn't found his Jon Cooper yet in my opinion.

I love Fabbri but that contract is bad. Mazur is an interesting one to me -- I'd like to see him in the AHL another year, but I don't think he'll be out of place in a 3LW role.

Honestly would like to see Soderblom given a role in the NHL, at least at the start of the season. Feel like he's just gotten worse since his small NHL tenure. I was wrong about Cossa -- he's been very good barring a few squeakers. Hopefully he can iron them out so he doesn't become a Bernier-type.

Yeah Seider and Raymond are gonna probably command north of 14M together -- Raymond on a bridge and Seider long-term is my guess. Yzerman gotta ship out some contracts.

Thank god we've got Copp at 3C! I'm a huge defensive-forward defender but by god is that contract just bad. I do think it'd be fun to throw Kasper in the NHL, but honestly I hope, over the summer, Kasper works on his offense. He has it -- I've seen blips of it, but I just don't think he uses his offensive skills enough. Though, that may just be a consequence of his aggressive play style.

I don't think we see Yzerman make many moves to bring in any guys, even if it's Matt Roy. We have two LD, both of which are RD capable, ready to graduate. I would love to see Johansson and Edvinsson on this team and not the corpses of Chiarot and Petry.

Almost every game I wish we just retired 91 and signed Fedorov or Grönberg.
Lalonde isn't a bad coach -- I wouldn't go as far to say he'll hinder this team, but I don't think he's gonna boost this team to a cup. Also would like to see a change in the defensive coaching -- they're awful.

Don't think Mazur makes the team, doubt he buys out Holl he'll probably be the 7th D IMO unless Pesce or someone like that says they want to play in Detroit at a number\years Yzerman wants but, basically everything else I agree with lol

3.4 mil is too much for a 7D.

No team is taking that contract.

Buyout is a little over 1 mil a season.

Only downside is it's 4 years.

Mazur is definitely ready for the NHL.

But Yzerman is reluctant to promote players.

See Berggren.

If missing the net determined wins Detroit would be unbeaten and Copp would win the Hart trophy.

It's like he just can't help himself but miss the net.

I've had a drinking game all season with Copp.

Each time he misses the net I take a shot.

Usually whiskey.

My Sharks have turned me into an alcoholic and Copp is turning me into a raging alcoholic.

Yeah it's a lot but, I'm a guy who thinks unless you have a player coming in that will take that money why not just play out the contract and it's not like you want a young guy in the 7th D spot

Mazur could make the team sure but, is he a 4th liner\defensive type player because I think the top9 is full

Then Johansson may as well be traded if he's not going to get an opportunity in Detroit.

That's Ken Holland thinking.

No sense wasting him in Grand Rapids for another season.

He's 23 years old.

I'd tell Grier to trade for him but he'd likely send Eklund back.

Honestly I'd probably package Johansson and Fabbri together (with extra picks) maybe find a McCann or Mangiapane type player to improve the top9 or a Dman that would push Petry to the 3rd pair like Larsson or Murphy something along those lines

Yeah it seems like each time the Red Wings get scored on Petry is on the ice.

Losing his man or losing a puck battle.

I don't like Murphy but I'm a big fan of Larsson.

But he's not available.

Hence why I'm advocating a Matt Roy signing.

Michigan boy.

UFA you give up no assets.

In his prime.

Defensive RD with good size.
