I’d counter Peterka, Kulich, 2024 1st and 2025 2nd for Brady but this isn’t terrible. Although I don’t think Brady will be the one being dealt

I don't like giving away skinner for nothing when it creates a massive secondary scoring vacuum. You have the cap space, I'd keep him and send savoie to Rochester.

That or just don't sign one of the professional wrestlers you brought in

divisional rival increase the price, Quinn is made of glass and OTT has enough glass players, brady has no trade protection and is singed for 4 more years.

it would cost so much for BUF to get brady it would defeat the purpose of getting him.

You continuing to say that doesn't make it true

No one offers who would Pay more (while also having cap) when they make these outlandish claims

even that is not enough to trade brady with no trade protection, signed for 4 more years at a good cap hit to a divisional rival and no way buf would trade their first if its 1st OA

Yeah it’s tough to deal Brady and realistically I don’t think they will, but getting a replacement top 6 player, a player like Kulich who would be our best prospect immediately and is probably in Buffalos top 3 prospects, a top 10 pick(if it’s 1st or 2nd overall it can be the 2025) and another 2nd isn’t terrible. But yeah you likely lose any trade you make for Brady, I’d rather keep a core of Brady, Stutzle and Sanderson and look at moving anyone else

nothing and i mean nothing buf is willing to trade would make OTT trade brady to a divisional rival who they play 4-5 times a year and will most likely face in the playoffs. it is also why boston will never trade ullmark or swayman to OTT or any other team in the division

nope, they would not, you see most GMs are not dumb, they don't trade top players to divisional rivals they are directly competing for playoff spots for. you may not like it because it ruins your nice little ACGMs, but GMs don't help divisional rivals unless they are in a rebuild then it dont mater because they not competing for playoff spots for several years, it is why SJS had no problem trading hertl to vegas, by the time SJS is ready to compete, hertl will be 35/36 and on his last year.

and ullmark is not worth 3 high value pieces, no G is worth that.

reality makes it true. join reality and stop living in fantasy ACGMs, every time there talk of top players being traded, ALL and i mean ALL the analysts in TSN, SN, ESPN etc always talk about the payer being traded to the other conference. teams do not want to face the top players they traded 4-5 times a year, they do not want to face them in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs.

one or 2 of the following will be gone in the offseason: Norris, chabot, chychrun, one of korpy or forsberg will probably also be gone. if FLA cannot keep senko, he may be back in OTT.

new coach and coaching staff as well.

OTT and BUF are in similar situation, they have good to great core, just something missing that keeps them in lotery contention

It would be a very bold move. Ottawa just moved on from a toxic era with an awful owner and an incompetent GM who hired an incompetent coach. This off-season is when new ownership and management will start making their impact. It would be surprising if Tkachuk is identified as a guy they should move.

I think Stutzle, Tkachuk, Pinto, Greig, Sanderson, Kleven are seen as untouchables right now

Batherson due to his contract would be surprising, same for Joseph. And for Zub, a good RHD defensively is the type you just don't move. They would actually need to clone him.

I think everyone else is a possibility

Should the Sabres blow it up too? I mean, they are 25th and they'll miss the playoffs for a 13th season in a row.

The Sabres are the youngest team in the league. We are also 11 points above you

We blew it up 3 offseasons ago and were tracking very nicely before this season. We haven't been trading our firsts every year

And also played 3 more games... Sens have the worst SV% in the league. Sabres SV% is 0.017 higher. Sens are trying to limit their opponents to under 20 shots to have a chance to win. Goaltending has been absolutely terrible, PP has been widely inefficient too, weird as it was one of the best last season. Ottawa has a better xGF% at ES

Sens were also "tracking nicely" last season... both teams were again very close in everything so the question remains. Sens had a major weakness (well 3, which was ownership > management > coaching), they are in the process of recovering from that. Many Sens fans were on Melnyk's case for a long time but it took more time for Dorion as they just assumed he was his puppet but in the end he was probably the worst GM that has ever been in the NHL, yes worse than Milbury. I have been deploring that since 2020

3 games is only 6 points max, and they probably won't take all 6. .017% is a world of difference, Ottawa is dead last and Buffalo is 17th in the league. The Sabres also rushed Levi, despite that his numbers were improving as the season went along, and Comrie is dead weight on all goalie stats, but is not a part of the teams future. Going with UPL and Levi, that elevates the teams goaltending into the top 15. Both goalies also are still developing. Idk what point you're trying to prove, but you're not.
