The "rumor" emanated from Tweeter or FaceSchnook, not anyone even remotely related to either team or reality.

Rob Blake makes that trade and he, Luc Robitaille and Marc Bergevin are gone by 5 p.m.

2. There is a logic behind an PLD/goalie for Ullmark/DeBrusk deal for both sides.

It’s a risk/reward and no one should pretend that it is one way.

The GOOD
PLD could become a star in Boston and Swayman relishes the #1 role

Ullmark behind LA’s defensive structure (which IMO is the best in the league) takes it to another level and Turcotte squarely replaces PLD while DeBrusk’s two way game becomes a perfect fit

THE BAD
PLD can’t be happy anywhere, alienates his professional teammates, and his contract become Huberdeau’esque

Blake decides he doesn’t care about the goaltender position and trades Ullmark for 50 cents on the dollar to sign a middling FA while Debrusk leaves.

I don’t think both GM’s have the stones to do this, but if it happened … I would not be shocked at all.

The deal as outlined in this thread isn’t it, because the financials need to be close enough for both teams to field a 22 man hockey team

I would be like every other fan. There would be some excitement based on the upside and some dread based on the downside. Depending on your makeup, one might outweigh the other.

The Kings are the team I watch the most beside the Bruins.
