Do you think, youre still getting two 1st round picks, a mid prospect, another prospect and a 4th? Considering the supposed current haul Carolina got for a 40 goal scorer in Guentzel is a 1st, Michael Bunting, and a prospect.

Theres nothing wrong with that. Do you think Othmann is going to come into the lineup as a rookie and go nuts from a 3rd or 4th line position? Are you disappointed that Buch is going to block Othmann? Come on now. Thats hilarious.

No i just think othmann goes the other way in a trade for Buch, it’s a no brainer

Well, unfortunately, every single prospect and drafted player wont end up playing for your team. Right now, a RW for Mika is #1 priority. Othmann doesnt solve that issue this season or next. We also have Sykora and Berard as prospect depth forwards who will be looking to crack the lineup, as well as Perreault who will likely be challenging for a spot as a RW in 2 years. So unfortunately for Othmann and all the Ranger fans, if he has to go, then he has to go. Cant be living in a world 3 years from now every year. Everyone wants to make a trade, no one wants to give up anything.

I’m fine giving up Othmann, he’s a middle 6 forward with a physical edge maybe a bit better than cuylle. But I’m absolutely taking Buch over othmann any day of the week

But at the end of the day, rangers probably won’t go down that road to get Buch so it doesn’t matter

Not with a top prospect, get real

Standard for a top line rental is a 1st, good prospect, and another roster player. You're asking for 50% retention making Buch extremely affordable and the other ownership pay in dead money. Most ownership groups aren't signing off on that without a major return package. No to mention, most every team will be interested in him as he is a strong all around player at a great cap hit value.

Likely they do not.
