A 1st, a young NHL forward and a second tier prospect with maybe a 3rd or lesser prospect. That’s pretty much what’s being negotiated give or take a little.

1) Jake is a top 5 LW. So yeah something more tangible than a few late 1sts.
2) Dubas already said they want prospects / young players. Not picks. This trade is mostly picks so it is the opposite of what the pens want or need.
The picks won't have an impact until most of this core is retired. If they even have any impact at all. I don't think they want a full tear down and this trade screams full tear down and pray picks turn in to decent players. So hard pass.
