Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- Going with a dark horse suitor for Guentzel and basing this trade off of Pierre LeBrun's comment that a trade with Carolina would be "prospects-based." Now, I don't know how many prospects that would include, but I am figuring most likely two, maybe three. Maybe the 2nd round pick becomes a 3rd round pick if there are three prospects included? Arizona would come in as a third party broker. Would be something if Guentzel goes to a Metro Division team, I wouldn't count it out.

- Colorado finishes up their deadline with a couple a depth pieces for their playoff run.

- After getting Beauvillier, Nashville adds another affordable player for a playoff run in Eller.

If Dubas wanted quantity over quality I’m sure Guentzel would be moved by now, likely to Vancouver. I’m sure he is holding out for quality pieces, and rightfully so.

Who would you be targeting then from the Carolina prospect pool?

Right now, I think Dubas has the other GMs slowing increasing their offers. Bidding war. Let's hope.

I have no clue, but I do know that the Canes have cap space to take Guentzel without needing to pay a 3rd party. Other than that…🤷‍♂️

I really don't see it - especially with the extra year on Eller's contract, and NSH re-signing Novak. With O'Reilly, Novak, Glass & Sissons down the middle, guys like Smith, McCarron, etc who can also play center, and multiple center options in the AHL (Pärssinen, Afansyev, Svechkov), there's really no room for him.

We can start with just a no, sure. No we don't need a depth center. No we aren't going to pay for a depth center. No we aren't going to be shipping out one of our few (and current top) RD prospects.
