Why laughton?

gritty bottom 6 winger, who can play centre. half cap hit for 3 years. He would be a very versatile and cap friendly piece for 3 years. He brings a lot of experience as well but he is still in his prime.

at 1.5m cap he is the exact type of piece the Leafs would be looking for in their group.
