Not necessarily gone down. Two whole playoff runs and all of next season at presumably under 3 million for a PPG player. Plus there no rush to trade him since he has the extra year

Stand the line at the higher cost and if no one bites, try again in the offseason and there will be more bidders which should drive the price up to where its at now, and maybe even more

All have been trades out of neccessity. Blues can just hold Buch if prices like this aren't met.

everyone else has been going for market value or lower prices than expected and there are now less teams bidding for him. Edmonton cant fit him under the cap, Carolina doesnt make big moves and Vancouver is probably going to get Guentzel. If Buch gets moved it seems like itll be NYR or Vegas. I could see VGK being Edstrom, 1st, 3rd and NYR being Othmann, 2025 1st and 2nd. Not these two 1sts + good prospects

i agree they should hold rather than sell for less than they could get, but they wont get this imo

I think the only person who has really gone for less than value is Tarasenko and he had a lot of leverage to flex in that deal. I would guess that Florida knew that and it was really the best offer given for Tarasenko.

I think the four teams that I have listed still have the capability to make these trades.
