Shooting Talent Above Average: 97th%

He is among the best defenseman in the NHL and with the cap going up a lot next year and the year after, it isn't that much money for his production.

All of that said, I wouldn't do this trade either (but from the Pens perspective)

Nashville has a massive amount of dead cap next season. They couldnt take Karlssons contract and fix the issues they have at center and forward. Even if this return does seem really light for Pittsburgh

Totally fair. I don't think the Pens would trade Karlsson and I don't think Nashville would be the place if they did.
