I’m a Sabres fan, but it’s pretty easy to see the problems with the 2 big trades you propose:


1- Calgary is already trading Hanifin & Tanev, so it seems extremely unlikely they’d move a 3rd member of their Top4
Maybe at next year’s deadline if they bottom out??
But i can’t imagine they trade Andersson (or Weegar) THIS year


2- the Avs can’t afford to sign Mitts going forward without making some major moves- their Cap next year would be fvcked pretty badly
But let’s just say they could figure it out somehow….
let them keep their 1st & we’ll take Byram instead- and yes,
i know he’s a LD. But he should be pretty easy to flip for a Top4 RD that we do need.
So….. Mitts (& we could throw in Clifton) for
RyJo, Callum Ritchie & Byram

I highly doubt the Avs do it in real life though- bc like i said, it would really screw up their Cap moving forward

I'm also being a dick cuz Ras ain't for sale. Weegar, Ras and Pachal, that's our D core next year, with not much exciting in the pipes for a few years, especially RD.
