Kuznetsov

Description
-Make a Bela/Russian line of potential trade bait for next trade deadline. I don't think it's a terrible bet that Kuznetsov's play will pick up going into a contract year. I would probably keep Sharky at the right price, but hopefully both Kuzys fetch a haul at the 2025 TDL or at least something useful.

-Arizona paid a 2nd for Durzi, is that too much of an overpayment? How much do they value Durzi? As a Flames fan, I think that's more than fair, and that's all that matters.

-If Marky wants to go to NJ, and they'll take him unretained, get whatever you can now, before 32 Thoughts drops on Monday.

Just take it before he requests out and you can't even get a 2nd for him.

Bring Ruzicka back and they can all just coke up and hold Russian/Belarusian/Slovakian Party’s together too

That Hanifin Trade gets Hanifin 50% retained only. We’re keeping Mangiapane this year

Hoping for Holtz OR a 1st + 3rdProspect for Marky, since NJD’s Pick Values will likely go down with how well he’s playing in net right now, meaning NJD will start winning more and climb the standings with Markstrom

I vehemently oppose the Durzi Trade. We have Weegar & Andersson to produce Right Shot Offence and Poirier may become as good or better than Durzi, same with whatever that 1st turns in too as well

I'm still trying to figure out who's going to keep the puck out of your net if your trading Markstrom ? Dustin Wolf ? No . No chance . Not against NHL shooters

Won't know til we see it, you might be right, hope you're not. Vladys stopped some pucks on occasion, who knows how he might handle more than a handful of games a season?

If we can focus on filling the net, get that sorted out first, give Vlady and Wolf a chance to take the net, if they don't, I guess we're looking for another goalie.

Vancouvers 1st has very small chance of being usable, let alone good.

Maybe Durzis the wrong target but we need RD now. I don't trust our scouting staff with all those picks. Conroy should go buy the team something nice, as long as it's a good young center or RD.

We need a Tanev Replacement = Penalty Killing, Shot Blocking, Shut Down Defensemen, like

Nick Jensen, or cheaper acquisition options like
Andrew Peeke
Justin Holl
Johnathan Kovacevic
Collin Miller
Josh Brown
Troy Stecher

Potential Left Shot Targets who Play both sides are Bo Byram and Jordan Harris as well

Peeke and Holl do not really interest me but I'd try Peeke for free.

I'd buy Byram but he's probably not for sale or expensive.

Definitely would only take Peeke for Free or Holl in a Trade for Hanifin as a Cap Dump, but they do Eat Minutes, Block Shots and Kill Penalties

For sure Byram would cost a lot to acquire, but he could become a 1LD. Harris would cost a lot less to acquire, but you generally get what you pay for

I'd like to see Poirier too but with Kylington coming back and Weegar playing well with Andersson, I don't see an easy path up the left side for him.

Could bring him up in a 3rd pair role, but it's my understanding it wouldn't be optimal.

Honestly. Poirier had the same start in the AHL as Zary, and we all know how that turned out. If he hasn’t missed a step since then he could end up being a very valuable top 4 guy.

It's highly unlikely that Weegar and Andersson continue to play together unless we actively trade for a top 4 RD at the point, and they are obviously quite scarce.

As it turns out Byram wasn't that expensive. This kid probably doesn't have much more than 200 NHL games on his resume . He has lots of room to grow. Bad trade for Casey Middlestadt.
